I was honored and humbled that the Boch Center in Boston's Theater District chose to feature my vintage images of women musicians on the marquee of its Wang Theatre for Women's History Month, 2021.

The work is culled from thousands of images I made over more than three decades of work for a variety of newspapers, magazines, record companies, and private clients.

Many of these images are slated to become part of a print exhibit in the Wang's Folk Americana Roots Hall of Fame, which celebrates the history of folk, Americana, and roots music through displays, memorabilia, artifacts, multi-media, lectures, and concerts.

Though "Women Who Rock" sounds like the women pictured are all part of the rock'n'roll legacy, the images actually represent a far broader spectrum of musical genres. Below is a sampler from my photo files focusing on talented women performers, primarily taken in Boston, Cambridge, and at the Newport Folk Festival.

All images are available for sale in various sizes and for various uses. Please contact Susan Wilson: [email protected]
